Save Our Waters
The Ocean Art Walk 2015,
a festival that uses art to
illustrate the effects of human-
caused climate change, was
set against the beautiful
ocean backdrop of The Link’s
Stanley Plaza. The art walk
featured three large visual art
installations made primarily
with waste materials, a series
of youth dance performances
and a host of related film
screenings. Members of the
public were also invited to
creatively contribute to a nail
art mural and take an Ocean
Quiz, which tested their
knowledge about our waters.
Art for AWA
The recent Art “On the Line” event held by
AWA Hong Kong saw an estimated 500
people viewing over 280 art pieces at The
Space on Hollywood Road. The artwork
was donated by female artists from at least
24 countries, all in celebration of the 40th
Anniversary of the International Women’s
Year. Most of the items were sold by the end
of the evening, raising over HK$230,000.
